4. I like to be outside and I love to travel. Someday I would like to go to Australia and take an African
Safari. I enjoy water skiing, watching/going to sporting events and shopping. I really love alligators
and when I am in Florida, I go on "Lannie Gator hunts." I think they are fascinating and really like
to hunt for them in lakes all over my Aunt's neighborhood. Last spring break, I had 13 gator
sightings and got very close to 3!

Learning Style and More:
5. I need to feel valued and respected in the classroom. I enjoy debating and discussing academic
theory/ideas, but to do so,  I must feel as if each person is participating, listening, and contributing.
6. a.) I feel that I am a highly participatory student. I love to discuss in class and tend to either
contribute or question in discussions through oral expression. b.) Due to my career path and current
position, I feel that I am very responsible for my comments and classwork. I am regimented in my
work, so I always finish it, but I do tend to wait until the last minute to complete it. I prioritize what
needs to be done on a daily basis, and unfortunately don't always have the time to complete things
prior to their due date. c.) I am not always a thorough reader...sometimes I skim and do not process
what I am reading if it does not interest me. I often have to re-read a lot in order to comprehend
educational reading. d.) I learn through doing. I am also an auditory learner who then needs to
experience the material. e.) I question things and then try to have others explain it to me in a
different way in order to better understand. f.) I am a very honest and direct person and try to
understand other people's perspectives within education, but I always think of the special ed sector
    first.

Technology Section
7.  I believe the computer and/or internet is the most important technological invention in history. I
believe this because of how much has stemmed from the computer/internet invention. Look at our
phones, our research, our schools, etc. and how much they have all changed due to this invention. It
has changed the way we live our lives in almost every aspect of life.
8.  Computer, Internet, email, *i phone (smart phone), *Skype, *Navigation system
9.  My evenings consist of reading/responding to emails from my phone or lab top, talking to my
family and friends and occasionally using Skype to connect with them.
10. In my opinion, kids are way too into Facebook and their cell phones. Text messages have taken the
place of authentic, real communication. Teachers also have had to use emails and phone conferences
in the place of face to face communication. Due to these technologies that are taking the place of
communication, our society is constantly changing. I think that cell phones for children should be
restricted and video games/computer games should be monitored. I think this upcoming generation
is forgetting how to play and communicate with others. Technology is taking the place of some
much needed skills. Like writing, talking and relating to others.
